The organisation develops and implements the policies and procedures required to meet the standards. - Safeguarding Children Training

The organisation completes a self-assessment process to determine if they are ready to be audited. - Audit
An independent audit is conducted to determine whether the standards have been implemented. - Successful accreditation
A certificate of accreditation, valid for three years, is awarded by ACCYO.
For organisations undertaking accreditation ACCYO provides:
- Help-desk support for policy development and implementing the standards.
- Access to online resources and a community of learning.
- Participation in forums, workshops and information sessions.
